Communication Guide for Outside Sessions

To support you in feeling safe and connected, here is a guide to how we can communicate outside of our sessions:

  • Where to Communicate with Me:

    • mike@michaelvaccaro.com.au

  • Purpose of Communication:

    • You can email me if you want to share updates, ask quick questions, or reflect on something from our sessions.

    • You can contact me to book another meeting in addition to our regular meeting arrangement.

  • When I Will Respond:

    • I will aim to respond to emails within [24-48 hours] 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

    • If it’s something urgent that needs immediate support, please consider reaching out to [crisis hotline/service] or a trusted person.

  • What to Include in Your Emails:

    • Brief summaries or updates about how you’re feeling.

    • Questions or thoughts related to our work together.

  • What Emails Are Not For:

    • In-depth processing of sensitive issues (we will save this for our sessions).

    • Crisis situations (please use emergency resources for immediate help).

    • Unrelated content not relevant to our work together.

  • How I Will Respond:

    • My replies will be brief and focused to support your reflection or next steps.

    • My replies may be single word or emoji acknowledgements simply to let you know I have read your email.

    • I’ll aim to offer clarity, reassurance, or a suggestion for what to explore next.
